You may sport a pink ribbon or participate in a fund-raising walk in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but what’s your company doing for the cause? Log on to nbcam.org and click on “Work Site Initiatives” to find out how you and your employer can help. In the meantime, get inspiration from these programs from past years: • Government employees in Washington, DC, received a breast cancer awareness message on their pay stubs • McDonald’s restaurants in Mississippi printed tray liners with a mammography message and a toll-free info number • A Walmart pharmacy in Ohio put breast cancer info in each prescription bag during October • An employee at Lands’ End started a support group called Lands’ End Breast Friends • AstraZeneca has an in-house breast cancer screening program
