A place to pump.
It’s a challenge to have tiny ones and work, especially if you breastfeed. USAA provides a lactation consultant, hospital-grade pumps and a fantastic nursing-moms room with a refrigerator. I did it for a year.

Leadership lessons.
Best Buy isn’t a boys’ club, but there aren’t huge numbers of female leaders—yet. The Women of Leadership Forum, WOLF, empowers us, making us feel like we can move up in the organization. Each market has a WOLF pack, and we get together monthly to talk about our careers and how to sell to female customers. That makes sense because women represent 80 percent of the consumer electronics market.

A gym date.
Capital One has a great facility with a health and wellness center and gym, so I can do everything I need to do right here on campus. It’s a big time-saver.

Real-life advice.
You can learn goal-setting from a book, but when you’re trying to figure out how to position yourself for the next level in your own company, it helps to have a mentor. Valassis’s mentoring program has connected me with two VPs in two years, and that’s been invaluable in helping me answer my questions.”

The gift of time. After having my second baby, I felt I needed to stay out longer, but I’d used up all my PTO [paid time off] time. My mom works at Bon Secours, too, and they let her donate 70 hours from her PTO bank, so I could take a full two months with my newborn with pay.
