Success is relative. What does success mean to you?
I've been reading so much about what makes a business successful and it's usually about how many millions it brings in. I feel differently about success. I think success is different to each person based on the life they've had growing up and the life they've dreamt of having as an adult. We shouldn't be so quick to judge someone's success based on simple revenue figures. If someone tries to do something they've been dreaming of doing and they actually go for it...to me, that's success.
Here's one of my fave quotes that's been on my bulletin board since college...
"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat. "
Theodore Roosevelt
If you've been dreaming of doing something for a while...go for it! Maybe that's the success, the simple act of trying...
