when your child develops an interest in something you do not enjoy? or like? or even thought you could tolerate?? As a mother, we apparently have to learn to tolerate it, at least enough to stand behind the camera to take a photo or video of your child embracing their interest. I thought I had a couple of years before this would happen to me. But no. My little girly girl daughter, the one who likes to wear pink and get her nails painted, has developed a love for grasshoppers. I didn't care much for grasshoppers before, before I got to see one's face up close and personal. I still don't. But I can tell you that I will purchase a book on bugs for her birthday and will be the first to grab the camera the next time she finds one willing to play with her. Of course, if I have the camera, there is a barrier between me and the bug.
What do you do . . .
