IKEA AND WORKING MOTHER MAGAZINE HOME OFFICE MAKEOVER OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
To Enter: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Between August 14, 2007 and October 15, 2007, log on to www.workingmother.com, complete the online entry form with your name, valid email address and other information requested and tell us in 500 words or less why your small business deserves of an office makeover. You can include photographs. Your entry can be made by email to ikea@workingmother.com or by the U.S. Mail to: IKEA Small Business Contest, Working Mother, 60 East 42nd Street, New York, NY 10165. Only one entry per person/e-mail address is permitted. Entries must be submitted and received by Working Mother Magazine by midnight EST on October 15, 2007. All entries submitted become the sole property of IKEA and will not be returned. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The grand prize winning company's remodeled office will appear in Working Mother Magazine in the May, 2008 issue. Neither IKEA nor Working Mother Magazine are responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, misaddressed, or illegible entries.
Grand Prize winner will be chosen in the sole and absolute discretion of representative of IKEA and Working Mother Magazine. Winning company will be judged based on their need for an office makeover, including the need for improvement in the office's look, efficiency and work/family friendliness. Grand Prize Winner must be willing to work the IKEA designer to make the home office makeover happen.
Prize: There will be one grand prize winner who will receive design advice from a professional designer from IKEA and an IKEA gift card for new furniture, valued at $3,000. Assembly and transportation is required for products purchased with the gift card. The prize will be awarded and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. The winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on the prize and for delivery and assembly of IKEA merchandise, where required.
Selection of Winners: IKEA will select the grand prize winner from all eligible entries received, based on their essay and need. The odds of winning will depend on the number of identical entries. The winners' names will appear in the May, 2008 issue of Working Mother magazine and www.workingmother.com website and be posted on http://www.ikea.com and announced to the media on or around April 15, 2008 and the winner will be notified by email and/or telephone. IKEA's selection of winners is final. IKEA and its agents will not be liable for inability to notify the winner, whether due to inaccurate entry information, change of email address or otherwise. Winners will have fifteen (15) business days from notification to claim their prize and a winner who does not respond in this time period will be deemed to have forfeited the prize and an alternate winner may be selected. IKEA will require the winner to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability release form and a W-9 form as a condition to receipt of the prize. If such documents are not returned within the time period requested, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible or if he/she does not comply with the Official Rules, then the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected.
Eligibility: Contest open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years or older. The contest if void in Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Territories and outside of the United States, and where restricted or prohibited by law. Employees of Working Mother Magazine and IKEA and its affiliates and their advertising, promotion and production agencies and their immediate families and household members are not eligible.
Entry: The use of any automated devices in connection with this promotion is prohibited. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder, at the time of entry, of the e mail address submitted. In the event of a dispute, the winner may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e mail address associated with the winning entry.
Release,Limitations on Liability: By entering this contest, each entrant (a) releases IKEA, Working Mother Magazine and each of their agents from all liability with respect to this contest, including entry and participation and use of the prizes awarded herein, and (b) except where legally prohibited, consents to the use of his/her name and likeness in print, broadcast, Internet and other media for advertising, promotional and/or marketing purposes without additional compensation. Entrants agree that their names and email addresses submitted in the entry form may be used by IKEA and/or Working Mother Magazine to forward promotional materials to entrants (where legal). IKEA and its agents are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of information, technical malfunctions, human error, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, entry materials that have been tampered with, or entries that are illegible, incomplete, late, lost or damaged or for any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any material in this promotion. IKEA may prohibit an entrant from participating in the contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or IKEA's representatives. IKEA reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this promotion if it becomes technically corrupted or if is not capable of running as planned, including due to infections by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of IKEA which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
