Friend Request From...Your Baby!
June 24, 2008

I know exactly what my aspirations were when I was little; thanks to my mom who so meticulously filled in an “all about my child” book while I was growing up (love ya, Mom!). Each year has notes in the margins, as well as crumpled report cards stuffed into each and every available pocket. And while there is something charming about all of those tangible memories, recording your child’s day-to-day growth has just gotten easier. Introducing Kidmondo! Essentially, it’s an online journaling network for anything and everything about your baby. Started by parents Daniel and Carole Hallac after the birth of their second child, this site is an organized and accessible way to share the step-by-step news that relatives and friends wanted to hear. Deemed the “Facebook for babies”—Kidmondo is a free network that allows parents like you to post pictures, blog, store records, and even access an interactive timeline of your child throughout the years. Secure and user-friendly, the pages are private but also can be shared with fellow Kidmondo friends—no mass e-mailing required! It even lets you design the homepage for a tailored, more personal touch. Maybe your child will look back and love it just as much as you do…but who knows, like mom’s scrapbook, by then there may be even more fascinating inventions.
