Focus on You - What's Hot This Winter
The weather outside is frightful, but we'll keep you looking (and feeling) delightful with these frozen weather finds that are oh-so-chic this season.

Gadgets
Smart phones are great for lots of things—calling, organizing, taking pictures, or even video. But if you’re a true music lover or cinephile, an all-in-one gadget probably isn’t cutting it. Enter the Zune HD (from $220, zunestore.net). The widescreen display gives you a premium viewing experience on the go and the built-in HD radio receiver allows you to listen to music whenever—regardless of your storage space. To further mold your content to your liking, download the Zune software that’ll make recommendations based upon what you’ve been listening to and watching on a regular basis.

Be sleek and safe with the BlackBerry Visor Mount Speakerphone ($100, shopblackberry.com). This hands-free device makes it easy to stay connected to family, friends and co-workers and keep your eyes where they belong—on the road, not the keypad. All you have to do is touch one button to make a call or use the voice-activated feature. Incoming calls are also made easy thanks to a verbal caller ID. Added bonus: stream your favorite music from your smart phone directly through your car’s FM Stereo or through the visor-mounted speaker.

Bright, bold shades aren’t in hibernation this season. Shimmery, ice-queen eyes is a hot look that pairs beautifully with winter’s paler skin tones. Play around with a bunch of bright colors, says celebrity makeup artist Julie Hewett. “The best way to experiment is to accent your look with one bright hue.” A pop of bright red on your lips, for instance, should be played down with neutral shades on your lids. She also suggests color mascara or a swipe of cream or powder around the eyes. Try her new Malachite Hue Cream Shadow (from $14, juliehewett.net) and experiment until you look like a pro. If you’re feeling a little too pale get out a bronzer to give your skin a warm faux glow. Be warned that there’s a difference between matte and shimmer bronzers. Those with a matte finish, like JHLA Ora Sun, sculpt, define and warm the skin tone, says Hewett who recommends swiping bronzer under the chin and across closed eyes to chisel and refine your bone structure. A shimmer bronzer like JHLA Aphrodite is best used to highlight and add sizzle to your foundation.

Health
You definitely over did it on the cookies and eggnog during the holidays and now you’re just too horrified to step on the scale.
