Bright, bold shades aren’t in hibernation this season. Shimmery, ice-queen eyes is a hot look that pairs beautifully with winter’s paler skin tones. Play around with a bunch of bright colors, says celebrity makeup artist Julie Hewett. “The best way to experiment is to accent your look with one bright hue.” A pop of bright red on your lips, for instance, should be played down with neutral shades on your lids. If you’re feeling a little too pale get out a bronzer to give your skin a warm faux glow. Be warned that there’s a difference between matte and shimmer bronzers.
