Trick or Treat!

Posted on October 29, 2010

With Halloween right around the corner, and most of you very busy moms preparing yourselves for the fun chaos that ensues the night of All Hallows Eve, I want to take this time to remind each and every one of you to HAVE FUN!!!!!!  Enjoy the fun, the smiles and laughter, the exercise that we put off all year, the funny costumes, the scary ones, how cute your child looks dripping with dracula blood!  Even though it seems this holiday is aimed at children and the children at heart, it is a great holiday that can bond parents and their children.  Start the night off by having a mini-party, playing scary or funny halloween music.  Make some sugar cookies, in the many shapes of Halloween, and let your children decorate them.  Let the kids stay up late after trick or treating, and watch a great family appropriate Halloween flick, like "The Nightmare before Christmas" or "Casper".  Above all, enjoy your children.  Enjoy these precious moments that we seem to only take advantage of when a National holiday permits.  Spoil your kids rotten, and show them how much fun you are as a parent!  Better yet, show them how much you love and celebrate them as your child!

Happy Halloween!!!
