Tired Sooo Tired

Do we really ever get a break as mothers? Do we? My answer to this question right now is NO! Why do you ask, well here is why, check out my “typical day”:
5:45 am –Wake up to go downstairs and prepare a bottle for my lovely daughter who will be up in exactly 15 minutes.
6:00 am – Hand baby and bottle over to sleepy husband while I jump in the shower and get dressed for work.
6:30 am-Leave my beautiful home to drop the baby off for a fun filled day with her Grandparents (Love you mom and dad)
7:30 am-Leave to go get the train that comes at 7:42 am.
8:10-5:00 pm-Work my day job in a sweet cube!
5:11 pm - Get on train to go and pick up the baby from her fun filled day with my parents.
7:30 pm- Leave Grandparent’s house to go home play with the baby and put her to bed.
8:30-12:00 am- Make chic and stylish accessories for my business.
12:30-5:45 –Finally get some sleep!!!
We really sacrifice a lot of ourselves to better our family. I want to remind all of the primary caregivers who are just as tired as I am because they tackle everything (see schedule above), to take time out for yourselves. How you ask, well just last week I went to a “Girls Night In”. The hostess had a masseuse and local businesses selling accessories and children’s clothes. It was fantastic, relaxing and I felt rejuvenated without having to go to the spa.  Guys you would have to tailor this to a night of Texas Hold’em. Also, with the holidays coming up, go out shopping by yourselves or with friends and have a mandatory date night with your significant other so that you can catch up without the interruption of the afore mentioned schedule.  Remember to be selfish every now and then, it is good for the mind, body and most importantly the family.
