What would you do when you're in a room with one of the professional dancers of Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance TV Shows? Moi? I danced!

I was on vacation at a Spa in Tucson AZ when I saw that one of their workout sessions was a workout created by Louis Van Amstel. I tried the class and loved it. Then I found out that the he was coming to town to teach class that week. I was ecstatic!

Now, one of the perks of staying connected and staying active in social media has given me the opportunity to create rapport with Louis Van Amstel, which was very helpful, before meeting him in person at the workout session at the spa, where Van Amstel's ever-gaining-popularity dance workout Lablast is being offered and taught.

For those who don't know, Van Amstel is Kendra Wilkinson's partner in Dancing with the Stars in Season 12 who I watched a lot! And though they got voted out later in the competition, their performance before then were unwavering.

It certainly was a treat to get a taste of those high-energy and fun moves in a form of a workout! I'm no trained dancer but I love to dance! Lablast seem to be the perfect workout for me! And for a working mom who sits in front of the computer all day and VERY sedentary for the most part, finding the workout infused with what I love to do is certainly...a match made in heaven! 

Apparently, Van Amstel created Lablast in answer to the ever-growing need of a dance partner-free ballroom dancing training and turned it into a workout. It includes recognizable patterns from DWTS like cha cha, jive, salsa and hip hop which I tremendously enjoyed while at the spa!  

And yes! I've put my best foot forward and tried to dance like the stars! Did I succeed dancing like the stars? Of course I did! Along with a few sore muscles here and there. But it was fun! So glad I discovered this workout and got to try it. I hope it gets offered where I live so I can continue being part of it!

But then again, there's Zumba if I can't have Lablast!
