
“Engaged employees plan to stay for what they give; the disengaged stay for what they get.” That’s a key insight from management consultant BlessingWhite’s 2011 Employee Engagement report. The report finds that disengaged workers represent 17 percent of workers while engaged workers are 31 percent. Employee commitment hinges on whether workers trust executives more than on whether they trust immediate managers.
