Are you ready for someone else to come in and clean your house for you? I am!
Lets face it. Working Moms don't have a significant amout of time to spend cleaning the house. Sure, before I had a baby, I would spend a few hours each weekend doing floors, bathrooms, blah blah blah and yuck yuck yuck. I don't want to do it anymore! I'm not being lazy and over-indulgent. I'm being realistic. Think of all the other things I can be doing with my time.....spending time with my family (a craft project sounds like more fun than scrubbing a bathroom!), exercise and taking care of my own health, making healthy meals for the week. I want to focus on these things when I'm not at work. These are the things that are going to matter to me in the long run.
It costs money, right? Its not cheap I'm sure. I haven't researched prices, but honestly I think I can fit it into my budget. Take away a few dinners out and cut a few more coupons and I might be able to justify the cost. Maybe I can compromise by having the service only 1x per month, or finding cheaper alternatives (like my friend's 14 year old daughter who's looking for a job).
I've decided that I'm not going to feel guilty about it either. I'm just going to do it. My mother and grandmother never had any help with cleaning the house. They had very traditional thinking and a male breadwinner mentality. Times have changed ladies! I am proud to say I can afford this convenience. I consider it a success that I've gotten to this point in my life.
How many of you out there have help? Please share your experiences! I bet it is nice to have that weight off your shoulders, but I'm sure there's a downside too.
And if you're like me, take the plunge! I'm hoping to get a sense of freedom from this and I hope you do too!
