Under Yiling Cui’s management as the General Manager, Shanghai New Asiatic Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was ranked number three in the Shanghai Pharmaceutical industry (excluding the foreign owned pharmaceutical companies in Shanghai). Employee productivity (revenue per employee) was comparable to those of the global 500 companies.  It was record breaking performance in the company’s history. 

During her term as the Executive Vice President at Shanghai Pharma (Group) Antibiotic Business Unit, Ms. Cui designed the enterprise framework and re-organized the Shanghai antibiotics industry.  She integrated the dispersed antibiotics businesses in Shanghai into one centralized state owned enterprise to leverage the advantage of centralized resources and a complete ecosystem.

As Chairman of the Board for Sino-American Shanghai Squibb Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd, Ms. Cui leveraged her localization knowledge and pharmaceutical industry experience, combining the strength of Squibb’s global company to help the Squibb president from the U.S. establish a successful business in China with best performance and highest return for the investors.

During the two years as the GM of Shanghai Pharma Group’s Antibiotic Business Unit, Ms. Cui improved the management system to develop a healthy pharmaceutical enterprise.  The company became profitable. The productions and financial were increased with record breaking performance.  Both product sales and profit increased exponentially.  Under Ms. Cui’s leadership, the company has restored its strong brand image.  Employees’ compensation was greatly improved.  She was instrument in boost employees’ loyalty to the company, and moving the company towards a healthy direction.
