Wang-Li Moser is the General Manager of Corporate Programs of Intel China based in Beijing. She manages the company’s government affairs programs, with major responsibilities to identify and align Intel’s strategies with China’s priorities, facilitate high level communication with the government, and drive cooperation programs with key government agencies. During her tenure at Intel, Wang-Li was involved in most of Intel’s major investment projects in China.
Prior to joining Intel, Wang-Li was chief representative and vice president of public affairs of Sithe China Holdings Ltd., an independent power producer headquartered in New York. Wang-Li helped Sithe to start its China business in 1993, create its China operations in 1994, and relocated to Beijing in 1995. During the years at Sithe, Wang-Li’s bicultural by bilingual background gave her a clear advantage in helping the company solve difficult issues, especially those concerned with dealing with the local authorities.
Besides corporate responsibilities, Wang-Li has been active in the business community in Beijing since 1995. She has served on the AmCham Board of Governors many terms and is an active member of the Chamber’s Chinese Government Affairs Committee. She is an executive board member of the US-China Energy Cooperation Project (ECP) and chairs the Smart Grid Working Group under the ECP.
Wang-Li was born and raised in China. She was one of the first groups to enter universities through examination after the Cultural Revolution in 1978. She got her BA in English in 1982 and became a university teacher upon graduation. She immigrated to the United States in 1987 and received an MBA from Rider University in New Jersey in 1993.
