Managing Director, JP Morgan Chase

Valerie Rainford is Managing Director and Process Improvement Executive at JPMorgan Chase.  She is a native of Columbia, South Carolina and received a B.A. degree in Economics from Fordham University in New York.

Valerie was recruited to JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) in 2007 for her versatility in leading large businesses through change.  Since joining JPMC, she has delivered significant improvements to the operations of four major business units – Global Sourcing, Global Compliance, Mortgage and Banking Operations.

Prior to JPMC, Valerie had an impressive 21-year career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) where she held leadership roles in a variety of businesses.  Upon leaving FRBNY, Valerie was its most senior African American female – the first in the country to attain the level of Senior Vice President.

Valerie is a member of the Executive Leadership Council and the Jackie Robinson Foundation’s New York Region Scholarship Committee. She is Board Chair of Black Women of Influence (BWOI), a network of cross-industry women focused on developing the next generation of influential women in business.
