Senior Vice President and Director, Groton-New London Laboratories, Pfizer

Toni Hoover, Senior Vice President and general manager of Pfizer’s largest research laboratories located in Groton, Connecticut, is a 23-year veteran of the pharmaceutical industry. She led the development and registration of Lyrica® and was on the team that developed the first treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, Cognex®. In 2007 Toni was named one of the “Top 50 Women to Watch” by The Wall Street Journal and was a 2004 recipient of the YMCA’s Black Achiever in Industry Award. Toni is a member of the Pfizer’s Diversity and Inclusion Worldwide Leadership Committee and Pfizer’s Global Women’s Council. Toni received her A.B., A.M. and PhD in psychology from Harvard University. She is a member of several non-profit boards including the New York Academy of Sciences, the American Heart Association Founders Affiliate, Xavier University (New Orleans, Louisiana), Healthcare Businesswomen's Association Advisory Board, and Lawrence and Memorial Hospital (New London, CT).
