Terri Minatra is currently serving in the role of Acting Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel for NPR. She is responsible for directing all legal and business activities and the staff of the Office of the General Counsel. In addition, Minatra serves as NPR’s Chief Ethics Office and as Secretary to the NPR Board of Directors. Terri joined NPR in January 2010 as Senior Deputy General Counsel. In that role, she worked across all NPR business units and project teams to achieve corporate strategy, execute tactics and ensure timely response and completion of projects while appropriately protecting the company’s interests. With more than 25 years of experience as a lawyer and a leader, Terri’s particular areas of expertise include intellectual property and licensing, live events, productions and co-productions, human resources, labor and employment, and complex business transactions. She’s demonstrated her ability to work across a number of industries, including at HIT Entertainment, Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN, the law firm Hunter, Smith and Davis, EDS, Southland Corporation, and Texas Instruments. Her JD is from the University of Texas and undergrad political science degree from Stephens College.
