Suzanne Riss is Editor-in-Chief at Working Mother magazine. She was promoted from Special Projects Editor. She manages the editorial coverage of the magazine and of the Working Mother 100 Best Companies, the Best Companies for Women of Color and the Best Small Companies. A working mom herself, she has held senior positions at national magazines for more than ten years. As Editor-in-Chief at Ticker, she spearheaded the magazine's popular Wall Street 100 list of highest earners. As Managing Editor at American Demographics, she helped guide the magazine's coverage of trends, particularly those involving women and their choices relating to work and family. At Heart & Soul, a consumer magazine for African American women, she oversaw research projects on health and money. One of her first journalism jobs was at Steven's Brill's New Jersey Law Journal, where she contributed to the signature investigative surveys, including the law firms that engaged in the best practices for advancing women.
