Subha V. Barry, SVP and Chief Diversity Officer, oversees Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement at Freddie Mac. Barry’s team develops business strategies focusing on the needs of the company's diverse workforce and workplace while working with senior management to ensure diverse talent is effectively utilized, and manages performance against the company's diversity plans. Additionally, Barry coordinates the company's Executive Diversity and Inclusion Council working with business units to maximize diverse market opportunities.

Prior to joining Freddie Mac, Barry served as managing director, global head of Diversity & Inclusion for Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., where she was responsible for development and implementation of the company’s diversity and inclusion strategy.

Barry holds a B.A. in Accounting, Mathematics & Economics from Bombay University and an M.B.A and Master of Accounting from Rice University.

Freddie Mac was established by Congress in 1970 to provide liquidity, stability and affordability to the nation's residential mortgage markets.
