Stu Shea
Stu Shea is chief operating officer of SAIC, an $11B Fortune 500® scientific, engineering, and technology company that solves problems of vital importance to the nation and the world, in national security, engineering, health, and cybersecurity. Shea leads a team of 40,000 employees across 400 locations worldwide. Prior to being named COO, Stu led SAIC's support to the National Security Community. Shea joined SAIC as senior VP and general manager of Space and Geospatial Intelligence. Previously, he was VP Space and Intelligence, Northrop Grumman/TASC. Earlier, he held several positions with PAR Technology Corporation.
Shea is CEO, and chairman for the US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation and the GEOINT Symposium. He is chairman for CloudShield Technologies and SET Corporation. He is an internationally recognized author and served on major international refereed editorial boards. He was a committee member, National Academy of Sciences, Marine Board; a former national director, Cartography and Geographic Information Society; is a fellow of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping; and was a member of the Sustaining Member Council for the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. He is a 2009 recipient of the Federal Computer Week Federal 100 Award. He is a member of the University of Kansas' College of Liberal Arts & Sciences' Advisory Board and has previously served as a member of the advisory board of the University of Virginia’s Department of Systems and Information Engineering.
Shea received a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Albany and a Master of Arts from the University of Kansas. He is a graduate of the Darden School of the University of Virginia, Harvard Business School, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and The George Washington University's School of Business and Public Management.
