Since the formation of the CME (Cable, Media and Entertainment) team, previously known as Video Team in Cisco China, in Q1FY09, Polly Wang takes a new role as the Ops and business development to lay the foundation to grow China Cable/Media business in an accelerated pace (6 folds in 4 years.) She brings over 22 years of industry experience from both working in a carrier and working in the equipment providers.  

Polly has been with Cisco for more than 15 years and has held positions ranging from systems engineer manager (Taiwan), regional sales manager  (China East SP), sales operation manager (China SP) and regional business development manager (APAC SP).  Prior to Cisco, Polly worked for IBM as a Technical Marketing Specialist where she designed complex architecture and assisted the sales team to achieve their goals. Prior to IBM, Polly worked at Chunghua Telecom in Taiwan as a researcher in the telecommunication standard areas.

Polly had also been a lecturer at the Chung Yuan University in Taiwan, teaching Computer Networks.

Moving to Shanghai 10 years ago from Taiwan proved to be a career breakthrough, where she crossed the political and geographical boundaries. Polly now lives and works in Shanghai with her husband and two kids.

Polly received her Bachelors degree from National Chiaotong University and her Masters degree in Computer Science from National Taiwan University.
