Patricia L. Lewis has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the areas of Human Resources and Operations Management. Patricia is an accomplished senior executive with a proven track record of driving change, developing organizational capability and delivering strong business results throughout her career. Patricia is currently the Vice President, Human Resources of Diversity and Employee Experience at IBM. Patricia is responsible for driving developing enterprise wide programs and initiatives that enable IBM to attract, retain and motivate the most diverse and talented workforce in the world. Patricia was previously the Vice President, Human Resources, for IBM’s Global Technology business, where she had responsibility for approximately 40,000 employees located in the United States, Latin America and Canada. Patricia was also the Vice President, Human Resources for IBM’s highly acclaimed Integrated Supply Chain business, where she provided global hr leadership to multiple functional units spanning 60 countries around the world. Patricia’s perspectives on developing supply chain leaders and the importance of mentoring was featured in Material Handling Magazine and in research done by Forrester’s on transforming IBM’s Supply Chain to drive growth. Prior to joining IBM, Patricia worked for E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company in Wilmington Delaware for 10 years. At DuPont, she held leadership positions in Human Resources, Manufacturing Operations and Materials Management. Patricia has also held leadership positions at U.S. Surgical Corporation and also the National Semiconductor Corporation. Patricia’s professional affiliations include the National Association of Female Executives and the Society for Human Resource Management. Patricia previously served as a board member for the Central Westchester YWCA. In March of 2007, Patricia was recognized by The Network Journal Magazine as a 25 Influential Black Women in Business honoree. Patricia received her Bachelors Degree in Industrial Relations Management from the University of Bridgeport in 1984. In her spare time, Patricia enjoys the arts, reading and traveling and learning about other cultures. She is an avid proponent of cultural diversity and serves on IBM’s Multicultural Women’s subcommittee to support the advancement of multicultural high potential women across the company. Patricia currently resides in Westchester County, New York with her son Justin.
