Pam Whiteside leads the development of customer insights for Walmart in the U.S. Her team is responsible for engaging senior management in a common vision of our customer both for today and the future. This vision informs our decision making and resource allocation on a wide variety of issues and allows us to align and capitalize on organization wide opportunities. Pam took over her current role in February 2009. She was previously promoted to Vice President, Customer Strategy in September 2008.
Pam came to Walmart in 2006 as Sr. Director, Category Insights supporting the Merchandising and Marketing functions on strategy and product development. Prior to Walmart, Pam spent three years as a Global Marketing Director for Royal Numico working and living in the Netherlands. She has also served as a Brand Director and Consumer Strategy Director for Diageo. She is a busy single parent of two teenage daughters, Emmy and Katherine.
