Nan Dale
Nan Dale has had a distinguished career in international public health as well as in child welfare and juvenile justice. As CEO of Action Against Hunger (ACF International), she oversees programs to save the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger. Previously, she served as President/CEO of Helen Keller International focusing on the prevention of malnutrition and blindness. Formerly, she served as President/ CEO for 22 years of The Children’s Village, a multi-service agency for troubled youth and their families where she also created the Center for Child Welfare Research. She has worked directly on a range of international initiatives, including assessing UN Sanctions affect on maternal and child health in Iraq in 1999, bringing NYC foster care youth to Ghana to install school computers, and developing programs for traumatized youth in the refugee and IDP camps in Croatia and Bosnia in 1994.
