Michelle Birnbaum
Michelle Birnbaum is the manager of Work-Life Programs for MetLife Inc. She is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of Work-Life programs, policies and practices, including workplace flexibility, back up childcare, tuition assistance and associate discounts, for over 35,000 domestic employees across multiple lines of business. Over the past two years, Michelle has successfully applied her marketing and business background toward reducing program costs, implementing efficiencies and branding the company’s Work-Life programs to enhance employee awareness and promote usage, which resulted in exponential growth in some programs.
Prior to joining MetLife in 2009, Michelle held strategic marketing and partnership roles with American Express and WebMD.
Michelle has a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University. Michelle is a member of the Conference Board Work-Life Leadership Council.
