Mary Carethers is currently Vice President, Research & Development, Global Pet Care and Snacks for the Procter and Gamble Company. Mary has 28 years of experience in the Consumer Products industry and over her career has had responsibility for R&D development efforts globally across Beauty Care, Pet Care and Snacks in North America, Europe and Asia.

Mary began her career as a Chemical Engineer with P&G Beauty Care. She had assignments with increasing responsibility in Global Personal Cleansing and Beauty Care Global Sensory, Fragrances and Flavor. Mary became R&D Director for Global Personal Cleansing in 2000. She then moved to Global Snacks as R&D Director in 2005 and in 2008 went to head up R&D as R&D Manager for Global Pet Care and Snacks.

Mary Carethers is originally from Detroit, Michigan and received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University. Mary is married, has two children and six grandchildren.
