Lynn Alters is the Director of Workforce Management & Special Projects for the WellStar Health System, a 5 hospital fully integrated health system in north metro Atlanta. Lynn was previously the productivity coordinator for WellStar, where she was responsible for all productivity monitoring and benchmarking activities for the 5 hospitals within WellStar. In Lynn’s current role, she leads the system wide implementation and support of staff scheduling tools, integration of system workforce management processes, and supports multiple large scale system initiatives. Lynn holds BIET and MSQA degrees, and has Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean certifications. She has over 20 years of experience in workforce management, industrial engineering and financial analysis, primarily in the healthcare industry. Lynn’s experience includes performing process improvement studies, leading benchmarking teams, implementing productivity systems, developing workforce management strategy and educating management and staff on using a variety of tools to better management staffing and performance.
