Lynette Chappell-Williams
Lynette Chappell-Williams is Cornell University's Associate Vice President for Inclusion and Workforce Diversity, where she has responsibility for the university’s workforce diversity strategy, disability access strategy, affirmative action program, and the work/life /family initiative for employees and retirees. Under Ms. Chappell-Williams leadership, Cornell University has received the coveted Exemplary Voluntary Efforts Award (Department of Labor Office Federal Contract Compliance Programs, 2007), as well as recognitions as a “best employer” by Working Mother, AARP, DiversityInc, Vocational and Employment Services for Individuals with Disabilities, Dave Thomas Foundation, and Conceive Magazine. Ms. Chappell-Williams was recognized in 2006 by Human Resource Executive Magazine as an HR Rising Star/Diversity Champion, and in June 2011, was recognized as one of Work and Families Institute’s Work Life Legacy Award recipients.
Ms. Chappell-Williams obtained her law degree from The Ohio State University School of Law and her bachelor's degree from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia.
