Dr. Lydia Liao is a board-certified radiologist and the Director of Cooper Breast Imaging Centers at MD Anderson-Cooper Cancer Institute, NJ. She is specialized in Breast Imaging and Breast Interventional Radiology and was recognized as one of New Jersey’s top doctors by New Jersey Monthly and South New Jersey magazines in 2011 and 2012.

Dr. Lydia Liao received her Medical degree in 1983 and a Master in Public Health in 1986 from the Beijing Medical University, China. She completed her academic career in the US, where she obtained a PhD in Nutrition/Immunology at the Illinois University in 1992. Following an internship in Internal Medicine in 1997 and a residency in Radiology in 2001 at the University of Rochester Medical Center, NY, she completed a fellowship on Women Imaging at the University of Toronto, ON, in 2002.

In 2003, she joined the Rochester Medical Center as a an assistant professor and the director of advanced women’s imaging before being promoted Associate Professor of Radiology in 2006.
