Louise Covert
Louise Covert is the President of Analogies Consulting, an organizational development and training company established in 2004. Analogies Consulting develops creative, interactive learning solutions for professional organizations specializing in cultural competency, interpersonal communication, Discourse analysis, action research, and the sociology of successfully working in diverse professional settings.
Louise has extensive experience designing training programs for professionals in the public, private, corporate, and non-profit sectors. She designs Site-Based, Blended Learning, and Online Learning content and learning environments. Her work is unique in that it is anchored in the intersection of field-specific research and context-specific professional experience. She uses both as resources and then designs real-world learning applications supported by the intersection of relevant research and the authentic dynamics of professional experience within a specific organization.
Louise Covert is a Ph.D. Candidate in Culture and Teaching at the University of Minnesota. Her expertise includes learning methodologies for adult learners, designs for learning, Whiteness studies, multiculturalism, and cosmopolitanism. Louise is a professional consultant and an instructor in higher education. She lives in New York.
