Lisa Person joined WellStar from Baptist Health System in Montgomery, Alabama where she was Vice President of Nursing Services/Chief Nurse Officer since 2006. Prior to that, she served in leadership roles for the past 23 years as Vice President for Patient Care Services at hospitals in Cincinnati,Ohio, Austin, Texas, and Lafayette, Louisiana In these leadership roles, Lisa has led the development of innovative care delivery models and nursing leadership models with a focus on quality and patient safety, as well as implementing clinical documentation systems. In addition, she has served as adjunct faculty teaching Nursing Leadership and Management to undergraduate nursing students at Auburn University in Montgomery, AL. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Texas Women’s University and a Master of Science degree in Adult Health and Administration from Northwestern University. She has served on Clinical Advisory Board for Auburn University College of Nursing and as the President of the Cincinnati and Montgomery Organization of Nurse Executives.
