Linda K. Albornoz is Vice President, Global Business to Business Payments at American Express Company. In this role she is responsible for servicing, operations and solution delivery for one of American Express's newest and fastest growing product lines. Linda began her career working as a business analyst and consultant for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). She was engaged with a broad range of customers in different industries where she was assigned to a two-year international engagement in Nice, France. In France she worked with a consortium of European airlines from France, Germany, Spain and Scandinavia to develop one of Europe's first Global Travel Distribution Systems. In August 1990, Linda joined Competitive Technologies Inc (CTI), a small start-up technology firm focused on delivering travel solutions to corporate clients and airlines. When CTI was acquired by American Express in 1993, Linda was a Product Manager for Travel Solutions. Upon joining American Express, she continued to expand responsibilities to support American Express's core payments business. She became a Senior Manager of Call Center Operations Integration in 1995 and in 1996 was named Director of Service Reengineering where she developed vendor relationships and redesigned processes and systems in a multi-location call center. In 1998 Linda was promoted to VP, Business Planning and Change Management where she led large-scale programs across Corporate Services delivering platform enhancements and process improvements. From 2000 to 2003, Linda led a thirteen state region as VP/GM of Middle Market Sales and Account Management in the Western Region. In 2004, Linda led a Global Field Enablement and Effectiveness team to deliver and manage a portfolio of products and solutions which improved client implementations and customer experience. Linda assumed her current responsibilities as VP, B2B Payments, Client Services and Delivery in September 2007. Linda grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and has worked with American Express in Houston TX and San Francisco, CA. She now resides in New York City with her husband and daughter. Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rice University with a double major in Managerial Studies and Anthropology.
