Lauren Robinson is Associate General Counsel of the American Bar Association, the world’s largest professional volunteer membership association with a membership of 400,000 and a budget of $200 million. She counsels staff on corporate law, intellectual property law and employment law, monitors staff compliance with its business code of conduct and conducts staffwide ethics training. Prior to joining the ABA, Ms. Robinson was Vice President, Programs at Chicago Community Ventures, a non-profit that provides financing and consulting to small business. Ms. Robinson was a Partner (Corporate and Securities Group) at Schiff Hardin, LLP. Ms. Robinson is a director of the Chicago Vassar Club, a member of Boardroom Bound and Secretary and Chair of the Nominating Committee of Umoja Student Development Corporation, which cultivates leadership and academic skills in Chicago public high school students. Ms. Robinson is a graduate of New York University School of Law, New York University Graduate School of Public Service and Vassar College (Thesis with Distinction).
