Laura Newberry
Laura Newberry is a creative and innovative strategist. She works to bring right brain creative and left brain analytical to move business forward. She is ambitious about aligning cultural innovation with business strategy for measured results.
Laura works in Abbott Nutrition’s Office of Health Policy and Programs where she designs strategy for state lobbyists, builds robust coalitions and third-party grassroots who support key issues, develops powerful educational and policy tools, and works to close the health disparities gap.
She is also the executive director for LA VOICE Columbus, Abbott Nutrition’s Hispanic/Latino employee resource group, which supports Hispanic employees and provides tools for understanding around language and culture through leadership, business alignment, language acquisition, cultural awareness, and external/community engagement.
She has spent over a decade conducting research around the world, with particular focus in India, Pakistan, Crete, and Spain. She is fluent in Spanish, can bargain in Hindi/Urdu, reads a little Latin/Sanskrit, and understands other romance languages. She lives in Ohio by way of way of Colorado, Spain, India, and Los Angeles.
