Lara Jones is currently is a member of the Talent Management team at sanofi-aventis U.S. She started her tenure at sanofi-aventis more than 7 years ago. In addition to her role in Talent Management, she has held various positions in Legal and HR, including people development and HR communications. Prior to joining sanofi-aventis, Lara worked abroad in Galway, Ireland, where she was responsible for the training curriculum for the teaching staff at the Higher Education Staff Development Network at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, Lara is passionate about using the lessons she has learned from her experience to have a positive impact on others. Lara’s community-minded spirit keeps her involved in several cancer-related nonprofit organizations. Most recently, she founded CancerConnect, a sanofi-aventis grassroots employee-led program that provides internal, peer-to-peer support to employees and their families dealing with cancer. She has served on the Benefits Committee for the Young Survival Coalition since 2008 and participated as a panelist at the 2009 “Creating Cancer Champions” workshop at the American Cancer Society’s Corporate Impact Conference. Lara holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Vermont. She currently lives in New York City with her husband, Eric.
