Kimberly Cacheris is a Partner at McGuireWoods LLP. She concentrates her practice on employment litigation in state and federal courts, including employment discrimination and harassment, wrongful discharge and the enforcement of non-compete agreements. She also represents employers before federal and state administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Departments of Labor, and the North Carolina Industrial Commission. In addition to her litigation practice, she counsels employers about employment agreements, handbooks and policies, and compliance with federal and state employment laws. She is also a frequent lecturer on employment law and worker's compensation. She earned a J.D. from Wake Forest University, where she was business symposium editor for the Wake Forest Law Review. She received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan. She is admitted to practice before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina.
