Kim Olson is responsible for the Health in Numbers national advertising campaign, communications around the recent rollout of the unified UnitedHealthcare benefits brand and advancing communications around culture and innovation. She is responsible, at varying and executive management levels, for communications in all areas, including executive communications, content management, media relations, internal communications, interactive media, corporate social responsibility, issues and crisis management, customer and channel communications, physician communications, government relations communications and new media communications.
Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group Olson was Chief Communications Officer for global travel and tourism giant Carlson. She directed all global media around legendary CEO Marilyn Carlson Nelson in addition to all global media around Carlson and its business units, including Radisson, Regent, Country Inn & Suites, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Carlson Marketing Worldwide, T.G.I.Friday’s, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Prior to joining Carlson, Olson was director of brand public relations for General Mills and headed global client service as a senior vice president for Weber Shandwick Worldwide.
