Vice Chair, Area Managing Partner, Ernst & Young

Karole Lloyd is Vice Chair and Managing Partner for Ernst & Young’s Southeast Area Practice. She is responsible for leading the Southeast Area of Ernst & Young and is a member of the Americas and United States Executive Board of Ernst & Young LLP. Prior to July 1, 2009, Karole was serving the firm as the Vice Chair of Industry and Knowledge for the Americas. Karole led the Americas implementation of the Global Industry sectors, where 9 of the 14 principal sectors are based in the Americas and she provided leadership to the Center for Business Knowledge, the Global knowledge content organization. Karole previously served as the leader of Ernst & Young’s Fair Lending Practice in Regulatory Consulting (1992-1996) serving many of the largest financial institutions across the U.S. including Bank of America, Citibank, U.S. Bancorp, Key Bank, and Wachovia, to name a few. Additionally, Karole previously served as the Regional Partner for the Financial Services Industry for the South/West Region (1996-1998), working with nine of the firm’s area practices to implement the firm’s strategy for the Financial Services industry. Karole served as the Coordinating and Audit Engagement Partner for the Regions Financial Corporation engagement, one of the largest US banks located in Birmingham, Alabama. Karole is active in various civic organizations including the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, United Way, the Boys Scouts of America, Junior League, and has or is, serving on the advisory committees of the Accounting Programs for four universities. Karole and her husband, John have three sons and a daughter-in-law.
