K. Stuart (Stu) Shea leads SAIC's support to the National Security Community. With over 10,000 employees and $3.2B in revenues, he provides support for customers across the full spectrum of: cyber-security; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; GEOINT; SIGINT; special operations; intelligence analysis; electronic warfare; offense and defensive counter-space; linguistics; geospatial production; and the development of technologies to support counter-terrorism.

In 2003, Stu was named as one of the 12 members of the National Commission for the Review of the R&D Programs of the US Intelligence Community. He was appointed by the Speaker of the House in consultation with the Chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.

From 1999-2005, Stu served as Vice President, Northrop Grumman TASC, as Director, Space & Intelligence, providing support to the ODNI, NRO, and NGA. From 1993-1999, he was Vice President and Director, Imagery & Geospatial Systems, providing support to NRO/IMINT, NIMA, and CIA. From 1987-1993, he led technology development programs with DMA and other Federal, Civil, and Commercial clients. From 1982-1987, Stu held several positions with PAR Technology Corporation, culminating as Technical Director, Digital Cartography, where he supported the DMA and USAF. Prior to that, he was a Remote Sensing Specialist with the Kansas Applied Remote Sensing Program of the NASA’s Space Technology Center.

Stu is the founder, CEO & Chairman of the Board of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation and the highly-acclaimed GEOINT Symposium--the largest single gathering of intelligence professionals in the world, with more than 4,500 attendees annually. Stu serves as Chairman of the Board for CloudShield Technologies, Inc. and Science, Engineering and Technology Associates Corporation, and previously served as Chairman of bd Systems; Hicks & Associates; and SM Consulting. He is a member of the University of Kansas College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Advisory Board, the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) Advisory Board, and has previously served as a Member of the Advisory Board of the University of Virginia’s Department of Systems and Information Engineering and the Advisory Board of Geospatial21/KidZ On-line. He is an internationally recognized author and has served on several major international refereed journal editorial boards. He served as Committee Member, National Academy of Sciences and National Research Council Marine Board. He is a former National Director, Cartography and Geographic Information Society. Stu is a Fellow, American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, and served on the Sustaining Member Council for the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. He is a 2009 recipient of the Federal Computer Week Fed100 award for the top executives in the IT industry.

Stu received a B.S. from the State University of New York at Albany and his M.A. from the University of Kansas. In addition, he is a graduate of Executive Education programs at Harvard Business School, the Darden School of the University of Virginia, The Wharton School at the University of Penn, and George Washington University's School of Business and Public Management.
