As general counsel, Julie Sweet has responsibility for Accenture’s legal support, serving as principal counsel to senior leadership and the board of directors and leading the Legal department which handles legal services, contract management, compliance and government relations.

As chief compliance officer, Ms. Sweet is responsible for managing legal and regulatory compliance programs that enable Accenture to operate around the globe while adhering to the highest ethical standards. She is also corporate secretary and a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.

Prior to joining Accenture in 2010, Sweet was at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP law firm for 17 years, serving as a partner for the last 10 years.

Sweet speaks Mandarin Chinese and has worked in Hong Kong and mainland China. She is on the board of trustees of Claremont McKenna College.

Sweet holds a B.A. degree from Claremont McKenna College and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
