As Director of the Information Technology Center at MITRE, Julie Gravallese leads a team of over 260 engineers, computer and social scientists supporting a diverse set of government sponsor programs and internal research and development initiatives. Her area of emphasis is enterprise systems and information/knowledge management. Ms. Gravallese has contributed to a variety of Defense and Intelligence agency projects as both technical contributor and program manager in her accomplished career as an engineer and manager for over 20 years.

Ms. Gravallese holds a BS and MS in Engineering from the University of Virginia with a focus on systems engineering and computer/software development. She continues to be involved in a variety of academic, industry, and government forum, and is currently involved in research and development activities focused on enterprise knowledge management.
