Julie Baskin Brooks, as Manager Diversity & Workforce LifeCycle Programs, leads a team of Program Managers for IBMs Global Constituencies/Imperatives (Women, PwD, Cross Generational, GLBT, Work/Life Cultural Adaptability), US Constituencies/Imperatives (Asian, Black, Hispanic & Native American), IBM’s Global Work Life Fund and Workforce Lifecycle Management (Policy/Programs covering Inbound, While You are Here (including Performance Management, LOA, Internal Movement), Outbound and the IBM Club.
Julie began her career at IBM in 2005 as an HR Partner in support of Global Business Services’ Distribution Sector. She also served as the Americas Staffing Leader from April 2007 through April 2008. Prior to joining IBM, Julie held various HR positions at Pearl Meyers & Partners, Xerox, Philip Morris (now Altria), GE Capital and Champion International. Julie has also formed and successfully ran her own HR Consulting company, The Human Element, which leveraged her expertise in Diversity, Staffing, Training and Development, Change Management, Compensation, Leadership and Development Career Planning.
Julie has an MS in Organizational Management and HR Development from Manhattanville College and a BA in Math and Philosophy from Mt. Holyoke College.
Julie is active in her community where she has held Board positions with educational and other not for profit organizations. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Fairfield University since 2002.
Julie lives with her husband and her two children in Stamford, Connecticut.
