Joe Husman leads Diversity and Inclusion efforts for Toyota Financial Services (TFS), based in Southern California. TFS has Customer Service Centers in Chandler, AZ, Cedar Rapids, IA and Owens Mills, MD; Sales and Service offices throughout the U.S; and affiliate companies in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. Joe also works closely with the other North America based Toyota Companies (Toyota Motor Sales USA, Toyota Engineering and Manufacturing America, and Toyota Motors America) to develop and execute a comprehensive Diversity and Inclusion strategy focused on Customers, Business Partners, Employees and Community. Prior to TFS, Joe worked for Toyota Motor Sales USA (TMS) leading their Long Range Planning, North America Planning, and Business Planning efforts. While at TMS, Joe was a Toyota Diversity Champion and a founding member of Toyota GALA, one of Toyota’s many Business Partnering Groups. Before joining Toyota, Joe also worked in SUV and Sports Car Marketing at Nissan North America, and began his career in Ford Motor Company’s Boston Region calling on Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealerships. Joe earned his MBA with concentrations in Marketing and International Business from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. During that time, Joe also studied at El Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa (IESE) in Barcelona, Spain. In his limited spare time, Joe wastes time and money on old cars, and tries to vacation outside the paradise of Southern California, most recently spending time in Turkey, Argentina, and Tunisia.
