Joanne McDonough is the Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Office of Diversity. She guides the firm's strategy and initiatives for the retention, development and advancement of women, and is involved in establishing and implementing PwC's work/life, flexibility and dependent care programs, including Full Circle and Mentor Moms. Joanne also oversees the firm’s online community for women, Women Upfront, developing a robust slate of innovative, interactive content. In addition, Joanne has teamed with PwC's global Gender Advisory Council to share US best practices.
Joanne fosters PwC's external strategic relationships with organizations such as Working Mother Media, Catalyst, DiversityInc, ALPFA, Ascend and NABA. In addition, she manages the firm's awards and recognition. PwC's prominent awards include DiversityInc's Top 50 Companies for Diversity, Working Mother's 100 Best Companies and Working Mother's Best Companies for Multicultural Women. In 2007, PwC was awarded the prestigious Catalyst award.
A mother of two daughters, Joanne currently works a formal reduced-hours schedule. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she received a BA in mathematics and secondary education.
