Janice Bultema, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, joined University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 2003 after working 12 years at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and 10 years at Duke University Medical Center. Under her leadership, the organization’s best employee and wellness programs have been recognized by Modern Healthcare, the American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration, Working Mother 100 Best Companies to Work For list for six consecutive years; and the Best Companies for Hourly Workers since its inception.

Bultema received her MSN in nursing administration from Duke, BSN from University of North Carolina-Greensboro and diploma from Mercy Central School of Nursing. She is a published author and frequent presenter on topics ranging from leadership to human resource management. She serves as a trustee on the Madison College District Board, chair of the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin and past chair of the Health Care Workforce Alliance and University Healthsystem Consortium's Human Resource Officer Council.
