Janice Bultema, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, joined University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 2003 after working 12 years at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and 10 years at Duke University Medical Center. Under her leadership, the organization’s best practices have been recognized by Modern Healthcare, the American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration, Working Mother 100 Best Companies to Work For list for five consecutive years; and the Best Companies for Hourly Workers and Kids lists since their inception.

Bultema received her MSN in nursing administration from Duke, BSN from University of North Carolina-Greensboro and diploma from Mercy Central School of Nursing. She is a published author and frequent presenter on topics ranging from leadership to human resource management. She serves as a trustee on the Madison College District Board, chair-elect of the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin and past chair of the Health Care Workforce Alliance and University Healthsystem Consortium's Human Resource Officer Council.
