Jane Zhou
Jane Zhou, a mother of a 10-year-old girl and PRC Marketing Director with EMC, has more than 17 years’ working experience in IT and Telco industry specializing in marketing strategy and integrated marketing communication. She is also one of the founders of Gu embroidery, a national cultural heritage protection project in China.
Jane graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics joining IBM in 1994 as a marketing assistant and leaving as PRC PCD Marketing Manager in 2005. She has had various job roles including PRC IMC Strategist, PRC Telemarketing and Telesales manager and APJ marketing manager for global financing. Jane then joined China Telecom after leaving IBM and stayed there for two years as Deputy Marketing Director for Shanghai Branch. During the same period, she gained her EMBA degree from CEIBS, the leading business school in China. Later, she joined EMC and is currently in her fifth year serving this company.
Jane started the Gu Embroidery project in 2005 with two friends aiming to save the lost art of her hometown. Her master thesis, “Returning Business Value Of Traditional Chinese Fine Arts,” received the highest score among 2005 CEIBS EMBA graduates.
Looking back on her life path over the past 40 years, Jane treasures the experience gained from all the companies that she served, as well as all the pains and challenges encountered during life with a strong belief in, “If you can dream it, you can make it!”
