Jacqueline Waites Moss has a myriad of experience in Human Resources, Management and Information Technology with IBM. She has Bachelors in Business Administration from Howard University and an MBA from Queens College. She’s completed extensive course work in Project Management through George Washington University and is a certified Project Management Professional. She has also been certified as a senior professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resource Management.
Ms. Moss started her career with IBM as a Programmer Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina supporting the Charlotte Manufacturing Systems. Since that time, she has held several management and staff positions within IBM allowing her to bring a unique and customer focused perspective to her HR work. She has a proven track record in people management with experience in budget and project management.
In June of 2008, she assumed her current position as the Director of Diversity and Workforce Programs. She came to this role from a position as Director of Compensation for IBM’s Sales and Distribution business unit, the world’s largest sales force. In this capacity, she managed a team of compensation professionals providing advice and counsel to IBM’s management and executive teams. She was also responsible for managing the worldwide compensation budget for this team. Prior to assuming this position, she was the Human Resources Director for IBM’s Lotus business where she provided HR advice and counsel to the General Manager as a key member of his executive team and managed a team of HR generalists providing support to the Lotus organization. Jacci served as the Human Resources Manager for the Research Triangle Area site, IBM’s largest facility. Ms. Moss has managed IBM’s Equal Opportunity Programs, worldwide. In this role, she managed IBM’s Affirmative Action Planning process and established a Global Equal Opportunity Project Office. In 2001, she managed the application effort which resulted in IBM's receipt of the prestigious EVE award from the US Department of Labor. In 2000, Ms. Moss represented IBM in Great Britain at The House of Lords where she spoke about Affirmative Action. She also met with advisors at 10 Downing Street to discuss IBM’s Work Life initiatives. Ms. Moss has worked with IBM South Africa on their response to the Employment Equity Act. She has managed IBM’s Southern Region, providing Staffing Site Support to a multi-state territory. Through her leadership, the organizations that Jacci supported achieved financial objectives, high morale and substantially improved customer satisfaction. She has a reputation for delivering on objectives on time and within budget while exceeding expectations. She is an outstanding people manager known for the enthusiasm she brings to her work and the excitement and motivation she imparts to her team.
Ms. Moss is married and the mother of two young sons. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Inc., Jack and Jill of America, The Society for Human Resource Management and The Project Management Institute (PMI). She just recently joined the board of the Ridgefield branch of A Better Chance, serving on the HR committee.
