Irene Rosenfeld
A 30-year veteran of the food and beverage industry, Irene Rosenfeld was named CEO of Kraft Foods in 2006, and Chairman in 2007.
She fundamentally improved the company's prospects by strengthening its brands, portfolio and presence in fast-growing developing markets. She led the acquisitions of LU and Cadbury, and the 2011 decision to separate Kraft Foods into separate North American grocery and Global Snacks businesses. She will serve as Chairman and CEO of the snacks business following the spin-off late in 2012.
She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and Statistics, an MS in Business Administration and a BA in Psychology – all from Cornell University. She is a member of industry and community organizations including The Economic Club of Chicago and serves on the Grocery Manufacturers Association Board of Directors and Cornell’s Board of Trustees.
