Frank McCloskey

Vice President Diversity, Georgia Power

In his 38-year career with Georgia Power, Frank McCloskey has held various management positions in operational areas of the company. He was been the Vice President of Diversity for the past 10 years, responsible for strategies to sustain a culture of excellence, trust and inclusion where every employee feels valued, respected and productive. He is a past chair of the Atlanta Urban League, Leadership Atlanta, the Buckhead Business Association, and the Korea-Southeast U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of various organizations including the Conference Board’s Council of Diversity Executives, the Board of Directors for the Anti-Defamation League Southeast Region, and the Atlanta History Center. He serves on the Workplace Program Advisory Council of the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding and the editorial board of INSIGHT Into Diversity. McCloskey participated in the March of the Living, traveling to Poland and Israel to learn the lessons from the Holocaust. He also was a member of a World Pilgrimage to Turkey and Greece with Jewish, Christian and Muslim clergy and community leaders from Atlanta to find common ground between these faith communities. McCloskey has received the Willie O’Ree National Hockey League “Black Ice” Diversity Award, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition’s Keep Hope Alive Equal Opportunity Award and the American Institute for Managing Diversity’s 25th Anniversary Diversity Leader Award. McCloskey is a graduate of Georgia Tech where he also lettered in football from 1968-71. He completed Emory University’s Advanced Management Program in 1991.
